In this White Sauce Pasta Recipe, I am sharing an easy way to make a restaurant-style white sauce in which cooked penne pasta is tossed. The recipe comes together in 30 minutes and makes for a comforting brunch or lunch.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pasta
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it is al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
3. Once the butter has melted, add the flour and whisk until smooth.
4. Gradually add the milk to the saucepan, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
5. Add the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the saucepan and continue to whisk until the sauce thickens.
6. Once the sauce has thickened, remove it from the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until it has melted.
7. Drain the cooked pasta and return it to its pot.
8. Pour the white sauce over the pasta and stir until it is evenly coated.
9. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious white sauce pasta.
