Aloo Ka Bharta

Aloo ka bharta is a popular vegetarian dish from the Indian or Pakistan subcontinent. It is made with mashed potatoes mixed with various spices and herbs. It is a simple and delicious dish that can be enjoyed as a side dish with roti, paratha, or rice.

Ingredients:

- 3 large potatoes, boiled and peeled

- 2 tablespoons oil

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

- Salt to taste

- 1/4 cup chopped onion

- 2 green chilies, finely chopped

- 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions:

1. Begin by boiling the potatoes. Peel them and mash them with a fork in a large bowl.

2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add chopped onions and green chilies. Saute until the onions turn translucent.

3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder to the pan. Mix well and saute for a few seconds.

4. Add the mashed potatoes to the pan and mix well with the spices. Add salt to taste and mix well.

5. Cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes while continuously stirring it.

6. Turn off the heat and add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice to the pan. Mix well.

7. Your Aloo ka Bharta is ready to serve. You can garnish it with some more chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot with roti, paratha, or rice.
